Default Fixed the S1..

about bloody time......changed the metering head, still misfired, checked the injectors......took ages to get them out.
put my old ht leads on, started her up and took one ht lead of at a time. As i took the second one of the engine went to stall, i let it click a few times on the top of the spark plug then put it back on.....and hey PRESTO

no misfire, running nicley....just need to turn the revs down.

cheers for the help lads....took almost 2months of hell but looks ok now...........till next week...lol

do what kurdt5 done, take each ignition lead off one at a time, and when you take one off and it sounds the same you can denote from that which cylinder has the miss, then take it from their...

swap injectors over/plugs etc, just eliminate!

agrre with the above. I was told the misfire wasnt electrical.

I used a spare injector i had i then removed my injectors one at a time and put the spare in the one i took out. Started the car to see if anything changed. Nothing did so the injectors were ok.

took all the spark plugs out and cleaned them.

then started the car and took one ignition lead of listened for any change, if there wasnt any i put the lead back on and took of the next.

the second lead was the problem, when i took it of the engine went to stall. i rested it on top of the sprk plug so it clicked a few times then pushed it on. The misfire stopped straight away.

problem solved.

To be fair with all the runnings problems you have had with it, it probably just fouled up the plug.

I cant ever see it being a high tension problem when youve got new leads and alike on there.
