Just found this on the net, looks like a photoshop'd ST.
The colour doesn't quite look right and i'm sure thats a red ST badge on the back!

they may still never build it,apparantly if it goes in 2 production it have,19 inch oz rims,ap brakes,quaife diff and 280bhp 5 pot engine and 0-60 in 5.8secs!!! . .oh and it still be fwd!!!!

 

Does anyone know what the reason is for using the Volvo 5 pot?
Have ford bought Volvo? think I would prefer a 4 pot ford engine like original focus rs. I doubt i will be selling mine for one, the origional will still be worth a bob or 2 in a few years me thinks

i work for ford in bridgend engine plant and i myself have a frs but i think this new rs is quite lacking. i was expecting something special, all they have done is use the st engine with a little tuning, add a diff and some 19's, ford makes a volvo inline 6 engine at the plant that they could of turbo'd and used. but ford dont seem to want too push the boat out and go back o the cossie days.

 

I would say every one is pissed off with this car we all want a 350 bhp 4x4 focus rs not a chiped up badged up st.I have been waiting for this for a good year now and it still is not due till 2009 so it will be an evo next for me i love my frs but dont want another fwd car with lots of power FORD PULL YOURE FINGER OUT

 

It will such a shame if Ford don't make the new Rs four wheel drive

 

That looks like a dodgy photoshop to me. I agree, next RS should be 4WD.
