Default turbo water return thing (HELP)

Have located a leek and removed the bolt which conects the metal return pipe from turbo to header tank. There should have been two washers one each side ,but there was only one I now have the said washers but apparently there are no gaskets . just wondering if ther is somthing the profesional peeps use to seal metal on metal,or if the washers do the job??
PS right fook on getting the bolt out (only have a adjustable big enough )
All help appreciated

the washers should be aluminium, they are soft and act as the gasket to seal the joint. You can only use them once though to form a good seal - they harden after use, and probably won't seal the second time. They are only pence though, so keep some spares just in case!

Cheers

definitely needs a washer each side to seal..
Copper would be fine if it's the right size, although Ford ones will be aluminium.
