Default The BMW is getting new paint..new pics on pg2

I have owned this car for about 6 years and am the third owner, it has done a genuine 41k miles from new and has zero rust. When i bought it the paint was a liitle flat but came up after i mopped it but after a few weeks the shine dulled So new paint is in order but first i needed to find out what the problem was with the old paint... After a couple of test sandings we found that the car had been repainted once but the basecoat and laquer paint finish were exceptionaly thin, the primer however was not! Cure? Remove all the repaint and the thick primer coat and go again

When I bought it..

With Dull paint..

Should be in primer this week and painted soon after Same guys that did the Escort, Rover and Dougs Sapphire... Oh and Rainbows car about 5 times!

Air con,
Cruise control,
Electric memory seats (even headrests),
Switchable sports box,
white leather seats (pimp machine!),
leather dash, headlining and door trims,
trip computer,
LSD,
bulb failure and service interval display etc etc

Only about 220hp but it does go very well for an old bus

It's a smooth as a very smooth thing to drive

Will post some updates as it makes progress ..

At the moment I have The Transit van (daily transport), my Escort, the yellow Rover, the BMW, the Firenza, the Mondeo, A Zt-t 190 (wifes car and long distance machine). I also own various Rovers, maybe an RS500 4x4 and whatever else I can't think off right now.

That looks the tits!

Pimp!!

Do you use it often then? If so.. when? When you fancy a drive or what?

I always wonder when people who have more than 2 cars say, what makes them drive them all, when the suns out or what?

I'd love to have more cars than to know what to do with...

2.5k in 6 years a shit load? Thats just over 400 a year so given that i use it on sunny weekends and for a couple or three weddings i reckon thats pretty low mileage

Was trying to be funny, saying 2500miles of wedding driving means that's a lot of weddings that you've attended...

Didn't work,

They are 17" BBS split rims off an 850, didn't like the smaller metric ones.
