i have an escort turbo engine in my fiesta so im not 100% sure on the year of the dizzy.






and is this one below the same as my one above? just checking as i need a new one and want to make sure i get the correct one.

 

maybe ypu can try read numbers and tell us numbers, someone will maybe knows then

p.s. how can I check if dizzy is work good?

 

iirc its a bosch dizzy used between 1985-1990

 

There the same mate ive just got 2 off that guy put one on my car and keeping one as a spare

the question marks are where i cant see the numbers very well as i only have a photo to hand at the min.

as for how to tell if your dizzy is working or not. if there is no spark and your fuel pump doesnt run (regardless of whether it primes or not) then its more than likely to be your dizzy.
if you still cant tell then i cut the signal wire and connected a wire to earth then dabbed the earth wire onto the signal wire going to teh ecu, this simulates the signal from teh dizzy and causes the coil to spark. the signal wire is the green/yellow one from the dizzy. hope that helps

next question, are they simple to fit, does anything need to be alligned or anything?

 

There should be a notch on the head & 1 on the top of the dizzy that you line up. 2 bolts hold it in place it just pulls out then but remember to make sure you have a new seal on the dizzy before you fit it.

Dont need to remind you to take off dizzy leads 1 at a time when changing it or you'll get them out of the sequence they should be in.
