Default im not getting any fuel past the metering unit -------HELP

i have a decent fuel pressure up to the metering unit but no pressure after or fuel in the injector pipes etc, i got the car to start by pushing down the plunger slightly, so i adjusted it down but the car still wont start, could it be an air leak of sum kind?

anyone else had this prob or no what it is

thanks in advance

You may have air trapped in the metering head mate

Crack the bolts off the top and crank it over until fuel pisses out!

I normally crank the engine over and hold down the plunger and this normally does the trick but if you have had it to bits then who knows

if you push the plunger down does it go down smoothly or rough
if you push the plunger down when starting does it start and run
also when pushing down can you feel any resistance in the flap itself

plunger feels smooth and thers enough clearence to the bore etc

the car did start first when the plunger was down but now it hasnt made a difference, the metering unit had a puddle of fuel at the bottom, thats been cleaned up now and thers no sign of any leaks

the plugs are prob wet fella disconnect the cold start valve and clean the plugs up
you did jet wash the engine it might have some water in the boost pipes or the air filter is wet
does sound like the a/f meter is at fault
check that your oil is not mixing with petrol too fella

If you've got fuel in the bottom of the metering unit box then the metering unitself has probabl gone!

Quite a common thing
