Default How many boxes does an original RS Turbo exhaust have?

As above - is it one or two?

All the aftermarket ones just seem to have one box

Thanks for the replies. I'd seen this one on Ebay - the mid section is a mild steel one and it has a silencer on it

What's this off of then?

Well I guess it's an aftermarket one. Less silencers does not necessarily mean better sound. Most performance exhausts do have small silencers like that to compose a nice sound note.

Found this picture I once took at my garage. It's an original S2 exhaust together with a Magnex one.

Thanks for all the info.

What's a good aftermarket exhaust to get that's not too loud? I want one that sounds similar to the standard one.

I had a JanSpeed on my RS16i and that was spot on for exhaust note and noise level. They don't seem to do them for the turbo though

Cheers
Mark

Its only the Series 1 systems that are rare to my knowledge as its the only one that takes the route through the rear suspension.

I believe all the after market/pattern systems all route under the rear suspension mount.
