I have doubts about the guy that told me he was going to buy me the turbo. Here is the mail he sent to me first :

Meanwhile, i will be making payment with a UK money order so i will want you to forward your payment details that will be written on the UK money order that will be issued for the payment. i will need the name that will be written on the UK money order and also the address where the UK money order will posted to.
Thanks,
George
I watched his email address, and it is : danny_inv@yahoo.com

I looked at google for "danny investment" and look what I found :

Can it me one of those african people just trying to rob people ?

Have you got experiences with that ?

Just want to know as I am a bit scared now.

I must be unlucky, but fortunetly it is after the thread here : https://passionford.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=251544 that I wanted to check if the guy that was interested in buying me my turbo was one of those, and it seems yes it is one of those scams.

So the turbo is still for sale.

You can use it on a standard 4x4 exhaust manifold, there is no problem. But you won't be able to remove easly the restrictor. If you want to use this turbo without the restrictor, you have to remove the "casing" where the restrictor can go, and then you have to put another casing that will allow you to use a hose without having the restrictor.

I don't know if I am clear enough, but again, if you want to use this turbo on your engine, it is possible. If you want to remove the restrictor you have to make a new adaptator that will go at the place of the one on the turbo at the moment, that will allow you to put the hose on it. In other words it will remplace the restrictor by an adaptator.

ah i see. i wish i had the engine to cope with this turbo mate.sadly im a mile away from ever having that .was interested in what it could go on and was wondering if thats why youve had a load of messers buggering you about on it.
maybe they only researched it after they bid on it.

i take it from the fact you were goping to use this your cossie is a bit of a weapon?

Gary
It will fit a 2WD manifold you have to move the exhaust housing like you would do it with a normal T35 I guess.

Nil, yes I was going to prepare a great engine, but life decided other things unfortunetly.

no need to move the exhaust hausing, you need to loosen 6bolts behind the compressor housing and turn this some degrees.

the restrictor is to limit airflow in to the turbo, throw it as far away as you can and fit a unmodified compressor housing instead.
