Default Alloy wheel lock

I have just sold my mint rs500 rims , bloke is coming down to collect today so I pop over my garage to take the wheels off the car, undone the rears no problems then go to do the front and the key snaped off in the lock whats worse is that i only have 1 key

So my question is are all the locks the same ie use the key

I see there are some for sale on ebay but do they need cutting

Thanks very much for any info

Also if anyone know of a way to open the locks without breaking them it might be helpful

Keith

Are your locks the type with a puzzle shape that fits into the head of the bolt or the old type with a proper key(as in flat blade )

I presume they are the type with a chrome cover that comes off with the barrel and the bolt head is underneath? The keys are all different, but i have got them off using a similar style key and shaking it up and down in the lock and rotating it at the same time. The pins aren't that clever,it doesn,t damage them.
Failing that you will have to drill into the lock face ,they drill dead easy as the metal is crap ,and the just pull off leaving the bolt underneath exposed.
