Leading on from the post in the week how many moondust silver saffs were made........how many smokestone blue saffs were made/ are left?? i think its the best colour for a saff (oh and ive got one )and people say its rare? will be interesting to find out..cheers all

I had a smokey dohc Sierra years ago.

It had to have the mintest original paint I have ever seen on a car for its age.

The depth in the smokestone paint is awesome, can look all sorts of colours from different angles (which showed on my MOT reports over the years LOL)

Always wanted to either drop a YB in mine or find a equally mint genuine Cosworth in that colour but there not so easy to find.

tbh i dont think there that rare...

the paint is pearlescent ..thats why sometimes they look black or dark grey

in sunlight

 

i'd love to own a saph in this colour one day. Either that or ebony black

 

I have one in for breaking ,,,so thats one less

I think smokestone is one of the best colours, we all ways had people compliment on my missus cossy, caused some hassel with notts police- they always instisted the car was black and wanted to know why it came up as blue when they ran the details through lol.Car still looks sweet zee, wish it was still sat in my garage

hey big mat long time mate how r u yeh i always keep it clean but its tucked away in the garage at the mo dnt feel like driving it in the rain not good for the car but should be out soon and is running sweet got a new intercooler and greys comin in feb so ill keep u posted

My XR4x4 is smokestone and def think it's the best colour. Bought it years ago and always wanted a smokestone one but knew chances of actually gettin the colour i wanted was low cos was gonna buy on how good the car was not colour. The guy advertised it as grey, was soooo happy when saw it and was smokestone!!!

Sadly, it's on it's last legs now, but am having jimboxr4x4's tasmin blue xr4x4 with 24v cossie engine cos he's just upgraded to a full cossie!!

Not to bad still busy just finished my rs turbo, finally bought a decat for the foc rs and hopefully get my cossy back in a couple of weeks, so i might see you at santa pod or ace cafe soon, still miss that cos, glad to see your looking after it and still modding it,that motor really deserves it

It was a 4x4 that 1, my mate bought it as a rolling shell and built it back up.

yes mate all been done, cleaned all boot area and interior has been cleaned a few times, thing is my seats get cleaned everytime i sit in them something i cant seem to shake of from my ///M3 days , also gona get under the ar and clean the whole exhaust soon aswell

I'm the same as xr4x4rs - i've got a smokestone XR, which will eventually be cossie powered when i get round to it.

My XR always came up as grey. As did Gracelands. Police always get confused with it

 

Why do I love that saff so much, could never see them wheels on a saff TBH, but they look awesome, mind you its the ride height that makes them

Sold mine to a guy from Ireland it had 11k on it and was a facelift model with all factory options!
