i cant seem to get my engine to produce a spark, im pretty sure its a problem with either the dizzy or the ecu due to the fact that when i put a light tester on the green wire coming off the coil and crank the engine, the light stays on, it dims slightly but im pretty sure its meant to flash on and off. does this mean that my dizzy isnt sending a signal to teh ecu? how could i test this?

so far ive checked:
the earth pins on the ecu
the ignition live going to teh ecu
check for continuity of teh 3 wires going from the dizzy to the ecu
checked the green wire going from the coil to the ecu.
my fuel pump primes up when i turn the ignition on.

please help as im a bit stuck now.

 

on the coil wires are you getting a live or earth fella when cranking and with the igntion on
