Default Slot cars! I'm a kid and I don't care

Christmas requistitions ment a small trip to my mums to collect my old slot cars (Mum wanted it shifting anyway seeing as I no longer live there).

Built a quick circuit from the spare sections that I had kicking about.

Scalextric - Escort RS1600

Revell - Lotus Cortina

Just need to wait for my brother to come up and play

Bunny looks less than impressed

Class! I've got that XR3i racing set somewhere! And the one that came out later called 'Night Moves' with a pair of XR3i's with working lights

I had so much Scalextric, and I used to mod and respray the cars... even made a signal yellow twin engined XR3i pickup at one point with extra magnets underneath

And the 3i's set's in good nick but the crs are a bit worse for wear. Got a coupe of really dead XR3i's so might try and make a couple of decent ones out of the mess.

I have in my loft

Leman 24hr Porshe set (Lemans start rocks)
Motorbike side cars TT set
Pole Position F1 set
Shit loads of extra track- Skid chicane, humps,
Start gantry and numerous buildings- couple of dunlop bridges and the PIT STOP with all pieces, boxed working.

Got loads of rare stuff too Car wise- Capri's, Mk1's- Mich Pilot ESCOS blah blah blah.

THe only piece I ever really really really wanted was the GOOD WOOD chicance- rockin horse poo and expensive to boot.

i used to love my scalextrics . Wen i was really young and had my xr3 escorts, i always said to my parents i want a xr3 as my first car i was probably only about 10 at the time lol.

oranoco, that hump back bridge is always good to have in ya set up. i used to have the dunlop bridge aswell, was always good to have just after the hump bridge, see who could knock it down by gettin air born off the hump bridge lol

That's what he new digital scalextric is like. Haven't been on one, but read up on it. Up to 6 cars on 2 lanes (more if wanted). Each controller controls one car..not one lane, so the experience is supposedly more like real racing as you have to pick which lane to be in to stay at the front.

Pity the newer cars are not as good as the old ones: model wise..not quality. Altho they have been making new Mk1 escorts recently. Need some more classics.
