What would you do with this, apart from set fire to it!

 

Thats fine take a look at my resto now that is bringing it back from the dead! Depends how much the car means to you as to whether its worth it. Love the rims

 

i used a wire brash attachment on a drill to get the flakes off, then a grinder with a linishing(course sanding) disc, then you can see if it needs any plating or not

 

the first pic is just before the front bulkhead and is where it failed the MOT last year. I want to do a full underside resto just not yet (time and space reasons). Might tickle it back and bladder some underseal over it, wouldnt say thats its structurally compromised just yet?

 

No that looks like surface, wouldnt underseal as that can trap moisture behind it and accelerate rusting. Go for hammerite satin black ,has rust treatment in it and doesnt look gareish like their gloss range, and alot easier to get off when you decide to do the resto!
