Default New Speed Camera location

Hi Guys and gals I have some inside information on a new speed camera location.

I have been informed today that Blackwall Tunnel has finally turned on its speed cameras. The cameras have been fitted for many years but were not actually switched on till midnight last night. You cannot see the cameras, they are not sign posted, they are not yellow and they work like the specs system monitoring average speed. These cameras work both Northbound and Southbound and will be on 24hrs.

The strangest thing that I have been told is that you wont generate points on your license and come with an automatic fixed penalty of £100. The reason for this is that they are run by Transport for London..another one of our mate Ken's great ideas.

This is inside info chums and they do exist..not that any of you law abiding chaps would even consider breaking the speed limit

Ill update you on any other sites as and when i get the info.

its at the end of the A12 mate and start of the A2,,,, maybe ill have to find the rotherhide tunnel

typical that ken chooses more non endorsable fines for a tunnel with NO fucking accidents on cause theres always fucking traffic OR is there is its fucking side swipes rather than crashes,,,,,, but thats cause the tunnel is too narrow and twisty for lorrys and coaches to use !!!

Wanna know an interesting (or maybe "not" interesting) fact bout that Ginge? The reason the Blackwall tunnel and Rotherhithe tunnel are so twisty and turny is because they were originally built for horses, before cars existed. The twisty part was becuase horses had a tendency to bolt when they saw daylight, so the tunnels twist and bend so that daylight is seen only at the very end, and thus stopping horses bolting

Another useless fact brought to you by the forums friendly vaginal infection

not true mate, last year though not reported on tv, 2 death's (separate incidents)due to racing!, blackwall tunnel is just as bad for accidents if not worse due to being so tight, not too sure about them being speed camera's though there primary use is traffic monitoring due to accidents increasing in frequency. Main problem with any of the under passes in london is volume of traffic and most are being fitted out with camera's now.oh just for you info bufty's ou there even thought the rotherhithe tunnel has a speed limit of 20MPH! it still has speed camera's which are used and is in the top 10 of europes most dangerous tunnel! i will check the info out today and post back on what i find.

Just checked, so far they are only OBSERVATION cameras and not speed cameras, but this will be confirmed on tuesday!

If they are survelance cameras then there is something in the law that says they can't be used for road traffic enforcement. Something Westminster Council should be told as they always use their CCTV to shaft motorists and they have no legal grounds to do so.

If they are being used as sped cameras then they must be operated by the police or a safety *cough* partnership and be signed accordingly.

Ken Livingstone is a twat though
