Evening all! a mate of mine broke the clutch quadrant on his gti earlier and although i've never even looked at one before i stupidly voluntered to fit the new one so has anybody got any advice/guides on the easiest way to do it? no doubt its gonna be a pain in the arse!

take the drivers seat out for comfort and lie on yer back

 

mk 6 is not to bad, its manual adjust, not spring tensioned

 

hopefully wont be too bad then, i'l take the seat out if it makes life easier.

 

yeah take the seat out,,,, we do a few of them at work,,,,, i remember when mine went in my old erst,,,,,, i spent fooking AGES with some wanky tool kit that jim galbally would laugh upsidedown feet on the roof fooking about before i towed the cunt to fords,,,,,,, the CUNT took the seat out and fitted it in about 30 mins whilst i watched it
