Default shit, just had a real accident in the cossie, updated

cant fucking belive it, put a joke post up, about losing a wheel on a toy cossie,
just got some tax for my cossie, thought i would take it out as its got pretty cold in the garage and wet, (leaking roof) so thought i would go for a nice drive to sort it out, get 10 mins down the road, heard a noise and next thing my front wheel comes off, the bolts have sheered off,
luckily because the car hasnt been used in a while i was only driving really slow, totally fucked the front wing, dunno what else that i cant see
will post pics in a mo

From what i can remeberwhen i drove it to london last, (end of Sept), i parked on a quiet road, and driving home i thought my tracking needed doing, so i think now considering that was the last tim ei drove it that some cunt has prob tried to nick my wheels, as i am totally missing 1 nut, i have checked the whole road wheere i was and only recoved 3 nuts, i reackon someones deffo tried to have a wheel, as i have never touched the wheels since i had it

here are some piccies of the wing, cant see under the car or to much in the engie bay cos its too dark, deffo was leaking some fluid, but water and power steering levels are all fine

Looks like it may just be the wing My dad had this happen on his Opel several years ago going round a bend at abput 30 one of the wheels came off and rolled passed, no damage caused but it did look like some had attempted to steal the wheels as some of the other nuts were lose.

Bad luck Gra.

What ever you do, check the brake and fuel lines as they are right under
where the damage is.

I really feel for you mate. First time out in it for months too!! Let's hope we get a result tomorrow.

Might be worth trying to get hold of Rob @ SCC to see if you can pop by there in the morning and put it up on the ramp to see if there's any damage you can't see. As the guy said above there could be damage to brake lines etc.

Just an idea like??

Oh, what a nightmare mate. When I had my BMW work car a while ago I had some fancy valve caps on the wheels and someone nicked them all, and I think they let the tyre pressures down a bit as well, then I had a blowout at 60mph on a dual carriageway. Some of these people just don't give a toss what they do!

just been out to the car, looks like the rad is fucked, as the impact ripped the standard splitter off, and the rad looks to have taken a smack, and put fresh water in the header tank and after running the engine for a short while it got really really hot what sort of damage might this have caused to the engine? as i was escorted home by the plod (flashing light escort lol)when it happened, as it was to dark to see and was only 3mins from my house?

so far the damage looks like

Wing (best case senario, and hoping nowt else is bent etc)
wheel is pretty badly marked
brake disc took a lot of the impact so will need replacing
rad
do i need to get the engine checked?
tis looking like an insurance job

shit gra, just looked at your other post too!

dont post shit like that in future!

i really hope its not too serious as that car was mint

i was lucky a while back, got a lift home with my mate from total vauxhall mag in their orange corsa, he had to stop at the vaux garage on the way, and the front was rumbling like a cunt all the way, only found after we had stopped that only one nut was holding the front wheel on, with one completly missing

could have been very bad as we were doing about 80 all the way

Ouch
What som eof the little gits used to do was undo every nut but the locking ones in hope the strss put on the locking one would break it so they could return the next night with an easy job of removing your wheels

Hope it wont be mega costly

i would change the hub if i were you mate and maybe the wheel bearings, might of bent someting like the studs etc.

is the bottom arm ok? no bends or what not?
also bumper mounting brackets couls be damaged on the bumper, depends on how much impact it took

not a nice thing there mate

This is unbelievable after reading your joke thread earlier Hopefully there's no damage to your engine if you switched it off quickly before it overheated.

Gra mate,

You are officially the unluckiest man on the face of the earth. Properly spooky too!

At least no-one was hurt especially kids etc....

As said, check those brake lines if it's leaking fluid.....

i lost a wheel on my old rs turbo at 40 ish ..at 4am going to work

near side front one ...

the wheel bounced up hit the mirror and then fucked off into a farmers field ...

shit myself ..and the front disk brake was flat due to me braking very hard ..lost about Quarter Inch on the disk as i guess most of the weight was on it ...

the field was Rapeseed at the time and i wanted my fookin wheel back

so heres the best bit

i climbed a tree to see where the wheel had gone ..and then followed the trail....

found it but the fucker was major bent ..

there was 4 bolts in the boot well so i jacked the car up put the spare on

and went to work

and then the boss says YOUR 2 HOURS LATE

first reply was FUCK OFF YOU CUNT
