any got a pic of the back of there s1 boot lock haven abit of trub with mine its the lock back i need to see ie bit that the key gos in thanks

 

has yours got central locking if it has the boot lock is a dummy, cant use a key in it works of the central locking.

Never! If its got central locking you can still open it with a key, what would be the point in fitting a dummy lock?!

 

yah has cl all the back of th locks brok iv just got another 1 but th round bit on th en of the rod sems if to my old 1 with the ol1 being broke its hard to work out whats what

 

No Such thing as the Dummy Bootlock, its a Fully Functional one on these.

ive got 2 and both of mine are dums also had 2 mk 3is and neither of them workrd with a key either strange to you maybe but true

probably but i brought i set of locks seven years ago from ford when you could still get them and that only worked off the central locking as well

 

I dont get what you mean by it only works off central locking though?!

The lock merely has plate on the back which spins and stops the button pushing in, and when you have central locking the solenoid also attaches to this plate, so if you put the key in and turn it, the solenoid also moves?!

Its a simple set up, i cant understand why you think its a dummy lock?!

 

just never had one that works off the key mate thats all probably just my luck everyones fucked even the new one dont care much anyway as it works off the central locking and as they say if it aint broke dont fix it

 

Indeed.......until the cantral locking breaks that is.

Its pretty much the same set up as the Orions use, and they all work off the key and cantral locking, but also have the electric boot pop as standard aswell

boot lock off leaving it to soak in oil overnite hopefully will work with key then was very tight
