Default Sapphire Cosworth - Shall I??

Got out of the Ford scene about 6 months ago when I broke my Series 2...I've bought the 106 Rallye in my sig [which I plan do do a few track days in this year and general B road blasts etc...] and as much fun as it is I can't stop thinking about selling and spunking some cash on a well specced saff [I've never had a Cossie and always said I would have one at some point].

I like these two:

Of course you should. Everyone who gives serious thought of owning should do it. If you dont like it 6 months down the line and providing you havent crashed it, you will get your money back

It would be a second car....

The only things putting me of are the fact I like doing track days and I think the Pug would be more competant round a track and also my favorite type of driving is B-Road blasts which the Saff again probably won't be as competant at.

But they look so cool and a QUICK in a straight line

See what you're saying but my theory nowadays is buy the best top spec car you can afford and it'll pay off in the long run [less bills during ownership, better re-sale value and the fact you get to enjoy a MINT car!]

john as much as i kind of agree with you,,,,, there are good cars for the money about

them cars are being sold for almost the same cash as Rhys,,,, but hes was a FAR bigger spec imo

dont rush,,,, if you want resale DONT BUY A FUCKING WHITE ONE !!!!

buy a flint grey one with a metal spec,,,,, for 7k id want a 450bhp saph

i payed 4500 for my saph that had all alloy tanks, rl7's, stage 3 t34, quaife diff, big wing sump, bd10 cams ect ect ect ect

for 7k,,,,,, id want a BETTER engine spec
as for them handling,,, they aint that bad tbh,,,,, but they ARE a 20 year old family 4 door saloon built to talk daddy to work in the morning,,,,,, then a big engine slapped into it,,,,,,,,,,,, so dont expect scooby owners to give way at the ring

In this field you get what you pay for.

for a really tidy saff with no rusty and no issues, you will pay upwards of 6k, unless you are lucky.

if i thought of selling mine i would ask for any less than 6.5k. and i have thought about it a few times.
