focus 2.0l turbo in 1.6
hi all
i want to put a 2.0l blacktop turbo in my 1.6 but im stuck on a few things
i have most of a rs focus engine i.e the turbo/manifold/inlet manifold/most of the pipe work/cat and down pipe and a rs focus system/front mounted intercooler/2.0l 2001 engine which a friend is going to build for me but i need to know.
what the best aftermarket managment to go for
what the best pistons and rods
can i use a focus td gearbox
and when i change the 1.6 loom for the 2.0l one will i need to change the dash loom.
and yes i know its easyer to just go out and buy a 2.0l but i have alot of cash riding on this project as my work mates drive a 3.0l vectra with noz ang just under 240 bhp another has a 1.9 pug 205 turbo dimma and a vectra turbo and one more a atsra gsi turbo with 350 ish so help if you can so i can destory some of em after its run in and get a bigger turbo and up the boost

If ya do ever get it all sorted, forget the RS cat, just get a decat and theres a good few more horses for ya.
Good luck with the mods, it sound like a lot of work but the results could be amazing.

TBH your better off just getting a hold of a proper Focus RS engine. You save a lot of money as you have a lot of top parts already on the engine as standard. Your basically just buidling up a FRS engine that's costing more.
But....
For management - Omex series is often used, but Pectel for me
Pistons - WRC items, but if you can get a hold of RS items, they'll be fine as their all ready forged
Gearbox - Get a hold of a FRS one, they come with new revised gear ratios, heavy duty clutch and a quick shift. But they are generally the best boxes ford ever built

thanks for replys but i really like the black top zetec turbo thing as i have most of the parts and a mate who builds zetec turbo enines for kit car.using the old zetec but he said to get the bits needed and he would build it in his spare time for £250.so that main reason for the zetec engine
