What can be done to reduce rotating mass on the cossi YB? I have a trackday car, 2wd sapphire cossie for drift and track use and want to make the most of what little power I have 330bhp about the same torque MAX So what is available and whats recommended? I was thinking a 7.5" flywheel and clutch is definately the lightest out there and twin plates are available, im thinking of changing to hydraulic actuation too so feel and weight isnt too important.

The clutch will be dumped often and generally used hard, it cant slip and must not cost a fortune. IDEAS?????

True will rev more freely, but will you not loose a chunk or torque too, due to having less inertia (sp)

I want to help the engine out where I can, I can afford to run a 300bhp YB so want to make the most of it, will losing weight off the transmission have negative effects with regards to driveability and torque etc? Would the gain in response be enough to offset the loss of torgue, Circuits are prety flat?

 

when you lighten flywheels you generally upset the driveability mate,it becomes more difficult to pull away and turns a nice driving road car into a small puppy on a lead type affair!going up hills etc is affected.
