Think i need a new cam kit as the old piper t2 is gettinga bit rattly Keep hearing about Newman cams has anyone used there gear whats it like?is it as good as the piper t2? what kind of power gains will i get and do they have a website?

the best cams around! best power gains made in my car and not a bad word to say!!

 

i was thinking about these over my piper t2 which dont like to idle very well what are these like compared to the piper, power gains, price etc.

 

lot of work to setup

 

and thats the only down side, the one most important thing they have over every other cam Manufacture is they last alot longer

 

i got my cam in 2002 when AVA were trying newman out for there custom cams(guinea pig ),it changed my car from 195@wheels at 18psi to 208@17psi,but felt so much more livelier beyond 4k,even my graph shows that at 4k its gets another lease of life,in they 5 yrs ive done around 6k miles and had to get them adjusted twice,but ive learnt how to do it myself so thats half the battle
also my power has increased right nthe way thru the rev range.at 4k power is exact same on both graphs 150.6 but the newman cam graph just starts goin at 4k(this is my 214@wheels graph as i cant find the 208 one but nothing changed spec wise since 208

also will it be a custom or off the shelf cam?

anyone else run there off the shelf variant?
what gains you get from that?

i'm going over to newmans soon in my TT.

 

All seems like good reports so think i may just have to pay them a visit see if they can ring a bit more power out of the old girl
