see i think there the same looking at them apart from locks different but might be wrong wheres ryan when you need him

they are interchangable as a complete unit between cars but they are not the same - the glass is larger on the Mk2 and the lock hole is also bigger

how much noticable difference in glass ? locks not a problem because its going to be removed ?

yep just measured up thats a no go then the spoiler will be on the glass

I have seen 3dr rear fins on Mk2 tailgates - they will fit but the edge of the fin on the upper parts goes over the glass rubber slightly
