can any one help me with the spring rates of standard front &rear springs
and the same on koni springs on a 2wd saff

G'day cobber

These are supposedly the changes from 3-door to Sapphire 2wd made by Ford.
Spring rates went up from 106 to 118lb/in at the front and 263 to 286 lb/in at the back.
Damper rates were made softer in bump and stiffer in rebound.
ARB was increased to 16mm on back
Castor increased by over one degree
Camber made fractionally more negative
Kingpin inclination made slightly greater.
Front knuckles re-designed to lower the front roll centre from 144mm to 70mm

I haven't got any info on the Koni springs I'm sorry but someone like Mike R knows his potatoes on this - he will also tell you if what I've said is rubbish

 

Have you tried asking Koni direct if they can tell you in the absence of anyone else knowing?

 

Couldn't find anywhere that has the Koni spring rates - anyone else know?

 

Anyone know? Are they a progressive rate?
