well it worked

I figured a phonetic spelling would make it more obvious what i meant than if i attempted to spell it and got it wrong.

 

I had to look it up to find out what it meant

Floccinaucinihilipilification is "the act or habit of estimating or describing something as worthless, or making something to be worthless by deprecation".

With 29 letters, it is the longest non-technical word in the first edition of the Oxford English Dictionary, which presents it "as enumerated in a well-known rule from the Eton Latin Grammar".

 

i had to learn the spelling of that at primary school, i would never be able to spell it now!

The longest word in the British dictionary when I was at school was

antidisestablishmentarinism

and my old headmaster used to take great pride in telling that (good old boy was Mr Baxter ) but it's evidently changed !! That was 25 years ago though
