plastic is always stronger than fibreglass.

well for bumpers. build quality better. less prone to snapping in half over a speed bump.

and so on.

thick fibreglass is pretty good but for the same money as that costs your looking at plastic for same money.

cheap fibreglass = stay away stuffs like 3mm thick in places AT BEST.

Well I work with fibre glass so I could strengthen them in places with no problems...

The ABS sideskirts I'm looking at are another Ł50 dearer than the fibreglass alternatives...

just trying to justify the extra money but I'm having trouble lol

mind you I did get a fibreglass undertray for my bike and the fit was absolute shit, so much that I'm buying an ABS one now...

will you be fitting them yourself?

fibreglass will need trimmed to fit as well. plastic is a better standard fit

if you work with fibreglass make your own

yeah I'll be fitting them myself, I've got some carbon fibre kicking about so I'll prob strengthen them with that lol

I would make my own but the amount of time it would take me and the materials I'd have to rob etc I might as well pay Ł80 and get some delivered

if they are cheapo skirts then no doubt the mould they will have come from would have been battered to fuck

dont expect the grp stuff to be smooth all the way along, it will look ripply unless its a very good mould - but then you will paying a lot more for them

i got a pair of mk6 escort gti skirts from ESP, they were abs and i couldnt fault them!

thats the thing, with the GRP ones I can fuck about with them at work until I'm happy with them and I get the bonus of being able to strengthen them with whatever I can lay my hands on

I know what moulds can get like, ours at work are shokcing sometimes!

Oh while your there am I in this months FF mag?
