Default Help with my 375bhp focus rs? Plz........

helo just had an Engine advantages stage 2 up grade for my focus rs, since having the car back fr about 2 months the car doesnt seem to be running right.

the car wont run with a dump valve and when you put ur foot down you some times get a hesatation from the car and it pulls fine again?

Looking at getting the traction kit from Adrenaline racing next, anybody recommend the kit?

Car mods: Stage 2 engine advantsges conversion

Gt28 garrett ball bearing turbo
GGR manifold (ceramic heat coated)
Miltek De-cat pipe
Monogouse De-cat exhaust
Engine advatages intercooler upgrade
Gen 2 induction kit
Bluefin
motorsport ignition leads
denso iridium spark plugs

What do i get next, (i.e. wrc pistons, rods, boost controller) looking for over 400bhp.

Anybody recommend anywhere else to take the car?

if its only just been done take it back, may save it blowing up too soon. When you say the car won't run with a dump valve there not supposed too. Get a recirculating valve on there before you break your new turbo.

also with that upgrade the bottom end won't last long so get that done and i'm supprised you didn't get a boost controller with all that as the ford one tends to give up around the 300bhp mark.

what psi is your turbo running?

the car is set up at 1.5 bar 22 psi.

the boost gauge is next on the list but seen so many, anyone in particular?

What type off things am i looking for, for the bottom end and price? they also fitted my standard actuator too my new turbo. shldnt they have fitted a -31 actuator?

What you rate power engineering?

check her mate plenty of posts about turbo upgrades etc http://bbs.rsownersclub.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=134

can't comment on PE or anyone not used anyone for mine yet. I use a blitz boost controller as the ford one plays up, but some of us are using apexi (sp), again check the link loads of discussion about it here.

I'd be very carefully running that lot on the bluefin tho and would want a custom map, i think the fuel pump and injectors are on there limit at 350bhp.

Get yourself to Rob at SCC mate, he is the man for the Focus RS from what i've heard. Be worth it just for a check over rather than it going bang mate.

Why not take it back to EA?? Although not quite sure why you took it there in the first place!!

Surely with this turbo a dump valve is needed!!??

They hav also fitted my standard actuator to my new turbo, shldnt it hav been a -31?

From what i've read EA don't have a fantastic following on this site mate, there have been quite a few cars go wrong/bang with the conversions, thats not too say every one they do, does...

I think your first port of call should be EA and tell them the problems you have, and also the shortgivings you have with the conversion ie: the Actuator, Dump valve etc.

Also I Personally wouldn't mention the fact you've asked for advice on here, as I get the idea they don't rate the comments on this site that highly due what I said above.

Looking at getting the traction kit from Adrenaline racing next, anybody recommend the kit?

Car mods: Stage 2 engine advantsges conversion

Gt28 garrett ball bearing turbo
GGR manifold (ceramic heat coated)
Miltek De-cat pipe
Monogouse De-cat exhaust
Engine advatages intercooler upgrade
Gen 2 induction kit
Bluefin
motorsport ignition leads
denso iridium spark plugs

What do i get next, (i.e. wrc pistons, rods, boost controller) looking for over 400bhp.

Anybody recommend anywhere else to take the car?
For 375bhp mate your missing headwork, cams & custom mapping and change the manifold to PD & exhaust to Miltek..

For over 400bhp your gonna need forged rods & pistions, autronics standalone ecu, uprated fuel system, uprated inlet manifold, bigger turbo,
that will get you over 400 but then the bottom end is at it's limit then, so never ending spending...

Get it into to Rob

The GGR manifold is no where near as good as the PD manifold for quality and durability.
The mongoose exhaust are supposed to be quite restrictive inside the pipe in some places only 56mm bore which is not what you want.
If you stick with the GT28RS get a PD or Miltek exhaust system
