thought i would start a thread now that some major work is going to be carried out on my ka, ive owned it nearly 2 years and its my first ever car, used it daily with l plates on to learn to drive in which was quite fun! since i have owned it a lot has changed from being a chav car with lexus lights and stupid wheels to a fun car that is now quite wild! so far from owning it i have changed the speedline 18" wheels to some 16" compomotive mo's had some leda coilovers fitted along with a 300mm front brakes upgrade from a xtype jag with st170 disks, i then got rid of the leather for some corbeau bucket seats with some sparco harnesses at that point i likes how the car was and thought i would strip the inside of all the trim and rear seats, after that my manifold got a hole in it so that was replaced with a miltek 4-2-1 unit with decat and that made quite a difference for a small engine, all was going well untill my mum crashed into the car
while it was going to be fixed i decided on a colour change from imperial blue to white, the job was done quite cheap as i didnt have much money but looks o.k, my mate then rolled his 205 gti which had some sparco vtr buckets in it i loved the seats from seeing them as they were so different so i bought them off him! bit of a problem to start with not being able to see much but after a few days i got used to it! after that i resprayed the inside which was still blue and replaced the mo's with some 17" oz superturismo wrc they filled the archs more and seemed to look the part, then i got a spraco roll cage and with the help of a good friend we welded it in thats as it sits now on the drive! apart from a few days a go the headgasket went so that made me make my mind about the car to spend more money on it and finish it properly with a good engine which is what im starting to do tonight hopefully! i will post some pics up later of the car
thanks alastair
