Default ITS ALIVE!!!! Wahey!!!!

After recent running problems and mental overfuelling, running on 3 cylinders and generally pissing me off. I started the car today and let it idle for 3 mins max. Looked down and spotted this.........

[img][/img]

The car was further forward when I started it and from what I can see it was coming from the exhaust join from down pipe to centre section. Not sure if its just condensation or not but it smells really strong of petrol and is really slippy when you step on it, plus its got a black sooty look to it too.

Am I worrying about nothing?

if it leaves a stain in the morning you know its not water!
to be honest though mate, that looks way too much to be just condensation in the exhaust

From the position of the fluid leak, I would say that the turbo OIL drain pipe has perished or come off the steel tube that go'es in to the block.

You got a ton of fuel smelling stuff pouring out the centre section of your exhaust, yes, id say you got plenty to worry about, and not just a blowing exhaust

Running on 3 and now its pouring out the exhaust sounds like one of the injectors has failed wide open and is just pumping for gold.
Injector, plugs, and oil change at very minimum (and fix the exhaust leak ), just hope you not washed the bore too badly, or damaged the rings or bearings because of all the fuel.
Hopefully not too bad.

I was trying to stay positive and hoped it may be nothing to worry about.

Its injector 4 giving me gyp, I swapped 2 and 4 and its still number 4 missing. Had wiring checked and its ok, getting a lend of another ECU with stage 3 chip tommorow to try and eliminate that problem. Its not looking good for me, Im sure Im cursed against these cars.

Its definately not oil, its sooty water which reeks of petrol.

The next door neighbours on both sides are cool, but the rest of the street hates me (My street is 1/2 mile long too and I live in the middle) so someone will prob try and set it on fire. They dont understand why I warm the car up at 7 in the morning before I drive it to work.

Can you have a look at your dip-stick? Check the level and condition of the oil.....

These cars really dislike me, I had my last one all of 6 week before its head gasket went, so I thought. Changed that and still no better, so pulled the head off, which a presure test revealed a crack. Saved up for a while till I could afford another head, rebuilt it and again still no better. Full engine out and stripped, mostly in the kitchen (sorry mam). Pressure test on the block revealed a cracked cylinder liner, so the liner was replaced and the engine rebuilt using all ARP stuff. After running it in for 1000 miles I put my foot down and up shot the temp gauge. Bugger!!!! My guess is it had done another liner cos I only had 1 replaced. I got made an offer from a lad who was desperate for it, Ł3800 for a Cossie needing a block was good money to me so he got it. In total I had drove the car for 9 weeks max out of the 8 month I owned it. He had it 2 weeks and sold it on for a loss. The lad who got it after that put a head on it and found out it wasnt the problem so its current state is now bare shell in process of being made a big power show car.
Now Im having running problems and getting gyp off this one, Im definately cursed!!!

Time to pay a visit to Stu methinks. Gonna have to start saving pennies and bangin the overtime in, may even take the shift I was offered tonight. 8pm tonight till 7am tommorow at Ł17 an hour, dealing with drunken arse holes on new years in a rough (but fun) pub/saloon. Our lass will kill me cos I promised to take her out.

Tried a differnt ECU and chip on it and still no difference. Next step is injectors out and sent to be tested. Anyone know where does it? Preferably in the north east.

have you done a comp test? if that is ok swap the injectors round to eliminate the one you think NOT working! if it's o/fuelling map sensor, coolant temp sensor, tps or fuel regulator are knackered!

Comp test ok, new coolant temp sensor, new crank sensor, peviously swapped injectors round and it made no difference, had injector wiring tested, checked TPS switch, MAP sensor 'looks' brand new. Fuel regulator been off the car but I dont know if they can be tested?

so you've got fuel pumping out the exhaust?

you say it was missfiring on 4th so you swapped the injector with another cylinder and it was still missing on 4th?

what do the plugs look/smell like?

you sure the fuel is comming from the drivers side of the engine/exhaust?

you've not lost an injector seal somewhere have you?
