I bought some jeans yesterday and it was only when i got home i realised that they still had the security tag on

I cant take em to a local shop as the shop i bought em from was a 1 off type shop ie not an everyday NEXT or summat that u see in most high streets.

Im sure they work on a magnet system. Is there anyway i can get this off myself? If not i will prob end up throwing them in the bin rather than travel the 60 odd miles back to the shop!

PS. i do have the receipt to prove i bought em i didnt nick em. LOL

 

There is a pin that joins them together, maybe you could get a hacksaw blade between it carefully?

 

Take them to your local supermaerket, as long as they dont sell them and you have a receipt to prove it i wouldnt see why they cant use their magnet things to take them off

 

Get a pic ogf the tag up, might be easier knowing what type of tag it is

i done this on a Ł100 polo shirt it was on the sleve underside, i onky realised 20 mins before i was going out on the town so had to rip the fooker out got a little hole there pmsl

 

Simply place a large magnet against the Plastic side of the security tag(the big round magnet from the back of a speaker is perfect)and pull the metal pin out of the other side....

And no,we are NOT all shoplifters in Liverpool...

its easy, chop up the lump on one side remove spring, pin and two small ball bearings take two mins no damage to knickers. happens every year in sales im getting good at it now

 

Right just tried that i removed my sub and there was a hole thru the magnet so i stuck the white bit with the raised dome on it into the hole and no sign of release of the metal pin.

Not to keen on the other methods that some of u are sayin would prefer not to use tools for the job.lol

 

just chop the dome with side cutters you wont damage the pants

 

Try pushing the pin in first to release it,failing that as Dave says cut the plastic dome open and you will be able to remove the spring and pull out the pin....

 

sorry but i KNEW one of the scalies would reply with the PROPER way to remove them to avoid any damage,,,,,, also no criminal damage either so PROPER pro job


oh and BEFORE you cut anything see if its a dye tag ,,, if it is place in the freezer to freeze the paint and then remove it,,,,,,, got told that by my mates mum whos FROM liverpool
