Default headers & manifolds

right i often watch all them american car & bike builders we get on sky tv & i often hear them calling manifolds "headers" then a british one came on & he called a manifold a header aswel??? is there a differance or am i way off

(Exhaust)-Headers ARE Exhaust-manifolds

Drive shafts =======Propshafts

Axle============Half shaft

Rear end (third member)===Rear axle

Rotors===============Brake discs

Everthing is slightly different, Hood/Bonnet.etc

Think manifold is just a term for pipes converging - header applies to car directly? Two different words to describe the same thing.
