Are cossie targeted by vandals
Unfortunalty id say yes, but that goes for any decent performance car i suppose.
Depends if your going to use it as an everyday car and park it out of sight in compromising places though.
I really wouldnt let it put you off buying one though either way as it could happen to any decent car. im sure theres plenty of people on here who use them everyday that have never had problems.

i dont really leave mine out of site which is a bit of a downer about owning it but saying that mostly people just walk up to and around then take a couple of pics with there phones then f**k off again, alarms and immodes are ok but my concern is the badges getting prized of with screw drivers or knives and f**king the paint work im looking into a pager alarm thingey as the sound like quite a good ideal, the pros defo out weigh the the cons mate get one

I even get nervous paying for petrol coz some twat will pull up next to you in a works van and they all pile out to go in the garage. Either that or an old biddy will almost take the front end off pulling away
.
We went for a meal once and my wife said "just take it home" so i went and got my fiesta and went back for the meal coz i was scared to leave it

You need to think about where your going to leave it mate, had mine six months and in the few journeys ive had parked it at local police station, my garage, and fast ford stand at silverstone, wouldnt leave it in an NCP or anything like that

Its not a cosworth but im building a mk4 escort zetec turbo and even though im doing all the work on a budget im already thinking whats gonna happen to it when its all done. I took it off the road partly because someone twat scratched all the boot, ripped the backbox off, and nearly had the wheels away, aswell as me going to fit a zetec turbo instead of the cvh.
mines been attacked many times by vandals(always when i'm out and have left the car in the street or car park)..only the other day the whole car was keyed......so its in for a full paint job in the new year at a cost of 3k
I will probably sell it after that, ive had it years and i just couldn't bare for it to be scratched again after the new paint job. Although i've never had the car broken into,i guess i decent alarm and disclock work as a good deterant.

me thinks someone has a disliking for you, maybe
heard a lot of car jackings involved with the cozzys, lots of ppl being hit on the ehad with hammers when they are getting out of the car. I want one and was wondering the same, got a M3 at the moment and thats not so bad but with a cozzy, it just dont seem to sit quietly out the way in the car park and attracts lots of attention. Wont stop me from getting one tho, will just be armed and ready
one of my mates had a brand new imperial blue big turbo escos in '94 in '96 parked it in bournemouth with his mates cossies and ferraris went of for a night out came back.......now his reg read APR4T...A PRAT!!!!!..........every panel was heavily keyed with a prat so what written on the bonnet and roof!!...he got it fully resprayed through ford costing £3.5k..then sold it to buy a ferrari f355 spyder..but the hassle he got selling it was unreal!!!
Unfortunatly cossie,s will always draw attention. They look that good.
And you are always going to get jealous wankers who take acception to what you have worked hard for. i.e the cossie. Get it alarmed immobilized and tracker thats about all you can do. But don,t let it put you off just give it some thought when deciding to leave it some where.
