Default Escort anti roll bar

I read somewhere that the Escort Cossie front anti rolll bar is a direct swap for the 2 door version and offers a useful gain because of the increased thickness? Can anyone verify this?

2 door?

3 door you mean

it is a bit thicker possibly but it's the worng bar for the 2wd cars, the 4wd geometry is different at the front

if you want thicker bars you can always try the granada 24V as these were 29.3mm thick as opposed to the seirra's 28mm, but agai, there may be issues getting it to fit, vene though there is only mm's worth of difference at the ends

whoops, yes, I had written 2wd then meant to change it to 3dr instead!

Thanks for the advice.

I know the escort one fits at the back and is supposed to make some difference, but trying to find one for good money is easier said than done.

the 3 door rear arb will only fit the 3 door rear end as it's mounted way out
you can swap the stuff aorund at the back and weld new mounts on to make use of the later arb's but i don't think thats going to make much difference

if you want to get things rolling and start on the right tracks, you'll really want to be looking at things like adjustable tca's and compression struts along with the front mounted arb with drop links and stuff as well as adjustable top mounts and ocil overs, but then it's a lot of money and a bit of a shakey ride
