Thanks Rich, Renton installed the plamsa for me and sunk it the media box, amps and dvd player xbox etc flat into a wall and then as a surprise fitted a clear glass beer fridge below all the hifi and AV boxs. Looks cool and saves on walking out of lounge for a beer !

The Green, Blue and Red jacks are the HD picture input.
The red/White is your normal R/L sound inputs.
Just match the colour to colour
(The yellow plug on the 360 lead remains unused and thats your non HD picture)
Make sure the plug in the back of the Xbox is set to HD too

Is this the cable that the Xbox comes with or do I need to buy something else?
Yea, it can't be anything other than the component video input and the cable the xbox comes with it all you need.
I'm forever taking my xbox round mates because they're two pikey to buy their own

What Xbox did you buy? Was it the premium pack at £270 ish or the core pack at around £180ish If its the core pack then you need to buy this lead http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/sto...ory_oid=-30361
This will then plug into the coloured sockets on your amp. Also check that the switch on the lead is set to HD and not SD, once you do this you go into the console setup screen and adjust the display to 1080i etc..

The lead that came with it has a switch for HDTV on it and has 5 leads I think. So I guess I didn't need the other lead I just bought then
It was £370 I think with 4 games from Blockbuster? Believe me it was the biggest impulse purchase ever. Renton came down for weekend and we were chatting and said have you seen the Xbox 360 HD graphics. I said no but Blockbuster is over the road... and out I popped.
It will NEVER get played... BUT I really want to see the graphics in HD on Gears of war

It comes with the HD lead but the other crap it comes with would cost you more to buy in the long run. The main thing is the HD though. the core has no HD so you can't download demos and save games I think.
T reckons you need to set the thing to low res (via the yellow video plug), then try the three different his res settings (one at a time). I think we just set it to the highest when we tried it, he reckons it could be one of the lower ones that you need.
Then flick the switch on the lead to hi res and select the RGB input on the TV. He reckons once you've got the right output for the TV it should work...

Hi Lee
You also have to set HD up via the 360 if it has been used on a normal tv as i had to with mine but it has been a while now as it has been set up and left lol
you put all six leads into the reciever then in the 360 dashboard thing go to the end screen which is system settings then console settings then display and configure whatever you have Lee,
oh and obviously have the switch on the original leads that came with the 360 set to HDTV
hope that helps
Martin

if its same as my mates plasma pioneir one then you use av channel 3 but instead of using a scart lead u use a hdmi lead and use xbox on channel 3 on ya pioner remote
go into setting and switch av 3 over to hdmi input thats it job done

youre best off connecting via a vga lead. they do official ones for about £20. you'll get the best picture out of that. make sure youve put the resolution up in the settings (1024x720). theres no hdmi output on the 360.

I have a feeling that plug on the front might be a "INPUT" system cable port. Can you get a close up pics ?

I'm not sure whats thats black connector it but the white one is DVI connection.
What model Plasma is that ??
