Im sure Phil will wriggle out of his ban (again) soon enough by throwing yet another tantrum, as this seems to ALWAYS get him his own way.

Chip, however, im not so sure will come back this time.
I spoke to him yesterday and it seems even when he goes out of his way not to antagonise Phil he always gets lumped into the same sin bin as him, and all because what happens........ oh yeah of course, Phil throws another tantrum.
He really enjoys helping and learning from others on this forum, but the crap that comes along with it because of Phils little fascination with him just isnt worth it anymore.
I really hope he changes his mind not just because he´s a good friend but because he has so much knowledge and experience to bring to this forum.

I liked Chip, he seemed to want to help and spread knowledge about the board. Phill just seemed to pick fights and talk about how many cars he owns and how much they cost.

Although to be fair... Chip IS an intelligent guy and knew that even being civil to Phil would create problems... that drags the forum down. So even though I think Chip did NOTHING wrong in replying... the bigger man would just ignore Phil completely for everyone elses sake. I do genuinely feel that Phil gets specal treatment and that if anyone else behaved as he does they would get banned even more than he does!

Would be a big loss and a shame if Chip never came back! Sure, the forum wont crumble without them but i feel its not a good thing if he goes!

Best to leave it there really. Both are educated men who surely can follow the rules exactly the same was as the other 26436 of you do?

Yeah maybe I shouldn´t be posting on behalf of Chip but from the email I just received from Phil and speaking to Chip I think both guys feel things have gotten out of hand. Not speaking on behalf of Phil but at least he´s being polite to me whch I didnt expect.

When their bans are over I hope peace can finally be restored and I hope Chip decides to come back, but im not confident on either

Phil is 100% understanding and agrees its gone too far now. I also hope upon their return things will go back to being a bit more pleasant. I also hope Chip will follow suit, and i too am also very sceptical on that ever being the case, but if not, next ban is 2weeks, and it doubles every time.

Yes we tend to take more crap from him just like we would from our puppy who, even though he keeps shitting on the carpet, is expected to misbehave and excused for doing so as it's simply not any smarter.

Chip on the other hand is smart enough to know better but insist on having the last say in abso-fucking-lutely everything and tries to be a smartarse by winding Phil up with his posts.

i as a user of this forum found it very boring to keep reading topics where phil said summit and chip didn't agree with its fact's or what ever and had tto correct him, this led to phil throwing out his toys,. and it alwways happened.
if they decide not tto come back then it will be a loss to the community here but only they can make that decision.
