Well, after ordering my Red/Smoked rear lights from essex racing, they told me they had been discontinued!

So, I've just ordered a set from Auto Tint Design:



anyone got these, or any pics of these fitted??

dont know what they are as they came on the car when i bought it, its a 90spec and i thought that all 90 spec S2's had these lights on them

 

Well, I thought that but I was corrected last time I posted. Soeone off here posted that all red/smoked ones are aftermarket and that all RST's even '90 spec ones had the red/orange/clear ones like all the other models!.

 

Oh right WE stand corrected then ! I always thought the red and black were standard items.

 

Ye I know, they must be on like 90% of RST's! I couldn't believe it!

 

ime allmost sure mine or ford items

I thought they were a standard feature on the later spec cars aswell.

Like the late sierra sapphire's, they too have smoked lenses

 

no RS Turbos came with smoked lights as standard.

Mine is November 1990

 

the AUTO TINT DESIGN tail lights dont have the black plastic border around the lamp, like the original ford tail lights, look on dave y's picture, think ABC design do them around 40 quid i think i got mines for.

None came with smoked light's as standard they may have been a optional extra on the 90 spec car's same as having the car black or gray was on the S2

 

nope def all standard they just call them 90's lights like the cossie 90's lights

mines a sept 90 spec model and came with standard light aswell, all aftermarket i think the confusion stems because of the sierra change

 

So we have two types of 90 spec lights then, 1 set has the black around the lights and the AD set doesnt !!! My set has the black around the lights so who makes them ???

 

Loads of companys are selling them.

 

There were loads of companys selling then, lots of them still advertise them, but when I've gone to buy them they've said they've been discontinued!

 

www.demontweeks.co.uk im sure they got the ABC DESIGN tail lights with the black border around them ( just like the std escort lamps have) AUTO TINT DESIGN dont. i think ultra is another one that dont have the black border and is way too dark compared to ABC & ATD. if demon tweeks dont stock them try www.speedshack.co.uk

Had my Red/Smoked lights delivered from Auto Tint Design today, andit would seem.............




Auto Tint Design and ABCDesign are the same people, well ABCDesign is the name on the invoice and I bought them from www.autotintdesign.com any road.

And finally, the ones that came are ABC lenses and are EXACTLY the ones I was after, not a compromise like the ones above would have been. They have the black border around them and are slightly darker than what's in my previous post!

I cant believe that every company I went to told me they had been discontinued, maybee ATD just have a stock or sumthin!
