Default Bast*rd Clutch...............

I was on my way to blackpool 2day to swap my exhaust and the clutch let go.............no drive to the wheels and just a catching sound when i pressed the clutch pedal down, so ive got a new valeo clutch, release bearing and pressure plate for £70 are these clutches ok anyone ???

They are as OK as a non-genuine el cheapo clutch can be!! What power is the car?

The cars cammed and chipped with a standard actuator running 12psi, but ive got a -31 to put on after ive done the clutch, i suppose it will do for now until i go for more power

I once ran a cheapo reconditioned clutch in my series two at 170BHP and it didn't slip....went to about 190BHP and it slipped from 3rd gear onwards.

You might stuggle with the clutch you've gone for...i'd personally fit AT LEAST a genuine Ford clutch to save doing it twice.
