Are you using the water based paints yet? If so whats it like?

We are using the water based, base coats but not the laquer as it takes to long to cure. I find it sound, had no probs

Yes mate. I work for a big dealership for Peugeot's and citrons and the time it takes for water based laquer to be cured enough to be machine polished takes 24hrs iirc, so would means cars having to be stored and then re masked to be polished. Would be a mission!!!

First tested water based paint when they were introducing it years ago and never had any problems then and same now.Not used the laquer though and can imagine the cure time for it lol

Ist everyone needing to be fully compliant next year tho? We use waterbased here (Nexa autocolor) and the only probs we've found is with bird shite staining on fresh paint - but that could happen with any product...

Anyone using this ceramic laquer yet?
