Good cars mondeos, Ive had mine for 30K miles as a commuter and its been fantastic so far

The traction control is for low grip situations as opposed to for any real performance reason.

Please dont include me in that, I posted a perfectly accpeptable reply relevant to the topic of mondeos.

Phil complained to a mod yesterday that for some reason he wants to be able to Veto who does or doesnt reply to posts he makes, he was told that providing the replies are civil then its not a problem, and ive been nothing other than perfectly civil in this thread (or any other, i have got no problem with him)

It allows a different percentage of slip for different conditions.

I ain't including you in anything mate as you seem sound to me.

Just the constant bloody bickering towards you from Phil gets on my tits.

I came on here to read about cars and have a laugh, not read bloody schoolyard stuff.

Traction control ALLOWS some slip between the two wheels, this is to do with the way that the tread blocks move on the driven wheel versus the undriven wheel.

Consequently there is an optimum amount of slip for any given condition, but not one figure thats optimum for all conditions.

For example if you are drag racing in the wet, you allow less slip than in the dry, and the tread blocks move less due to having less grip.

If you are on slicks you allow even less again.

Phil your gold membership gets you all the things listed as benefits to gold members, same as it does the rest of us, one of those benefits though is not a choice as to who replies to different threads on the board, if you wish for something to be directed just to certain people and not replied to publically by all then I would suggest you use the PM function to send it to the people you wish to solicit a response from.

Phil

The way I see this is as follows:

You asked a question, chip has given you an answer. You want him banned for answering a question that you have put to the forum?

behave.

Moderators roles on this forum dont include asking users to not reply with civil replies to open questions posted on a public forum, if you wish to talk to a subset of the members then there is a PM facility provided for you to do so.

Hope that helps

PS

If you look in the thread titled
**TO BE READ BY ALL USERS BEFORE POSTING ON PASSIONFORD**

located here:

https://passionford.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=106240

You will find some information about how the fourm works and what is acceptable or unacceptable behaviour.

Just to use this thread as an example though, you referring to me as a piece of shit you need to scrape off is NOT acceptable, and is a breach of the rules for which you risk banning, me replying with information pertinent to questions posed within a thread IS acceptable, and consitutes no action which requires intervention by a moderator so you dont need to keep asking for it.

Hope that helps

Look at the rules HARRASSMENT...to me he is harrassing..can you mods not see this? He likes to hide behind rules..so lets see if you can uphold the rules for ME.

You can clearly see my unhappyness and i am asking as a Gold member who has been here from the beginning and supported this place financially....to get him off my threads.

Phil, harrasment is what you are doing to me when you refer to me as a piece of shit.

Its not what I do to you when I post civil replies to comments you make on a public forum open to all to respond.

Hope that helps

I am looking at this post and the only harrasment I can see is you to chip.

Just pack it in.

Away from the internet and in person I am sure you are a different person. Why are you like this on here?

What was a good post with genuine, civil replys has turned into shit because you cant get along with someone and throw your toys out of your pram cause the webteam wont side with you.

Started with SECS, now Chip.. who next?
