Default What's the alarm to have nowadays?

thinking of ditching the sigma alarm thats on the M3 and going for a new one.

had an ai606 on the saph and couldnt fault it, but are there better alarms out there for reasonable money?

don't want anything fancy. just alarm n central locking, altho one that does the windows up for you would be quite cool

Jim - some M3's had window closure on them as standard. Just press and hold the lock button on the std remote for about 3 or 5 secs.....

I had Toad on my last sapph and it was spot on, had a Clifford Concept 300 on my Corsa and it was ok too. Preffered the Toad though. I got a Cobra on my latest car and its pretty good, would still prefer Toad again though. Think it was A8....i or A5.....i something like that. A550i???

IME that's down to fitment.

I'd happily recommend Clifford or Toad as I've has both but the key to a decent alarm is decent installation

I've had mainly cliffords.

1 was on my crx with remote engine start and all the bollox on it and it was perfect and still is to this day as my mate owns the car now.

2nd was on my nova and that fucked up but it was a very old system

3 is on my current car and is spot on.

I'd recomend them bt as gurne said they need instaling properly or they will give bother
