Default Starter motor heat shield

Can you still get these from Ford?

Would prefer a stainless / polished one if poss, can you get these at all?

Yes but unsure of finis code or price. My car had a new item fitted shortly before I bought the car.

mate

get 3m of heat wrap and some large pipe clamps , problem sorted

wont have to wory about your alternator melting or the turbo oil return cooking

I belive the fins code is 1654781. im gonna try and get one within the next week so i will know for shure then

Yeah i got one not so long ago, check it before you take it tho.

Don't forget they've been sitting around for years and years now, the first one i had crumbled when the engine got to temperature Luckily i'm good mates with my local Ford parts man, he changed it for another

they are still available from Ford but if you ask for a starter motor heat shield you probably wont get the correct one!!
for some reason the shield you want comes under the turbo section of the micro cat and not the starter section
