Default newreg.com= con men

well ive just been stung for £50 off these low lifes basicly i bought a number plate from them in 2004 paying £530ish with transfur fee paid, i havent put the plate on a car as im saving it and have held it on retention last year it cost me £35 to retain the plate wich was fine i just sent the paper work to them and got it back hassle free i was also 5 days before the deadline and they said they get it processed fast

this year i recived a letter askin for another retention fee wich i was expecting so pull out the cheque book and they want two cheques one to the dvla for £25 and one to them for a wooping £50 so off i trotted to the dvla office to retain the plate myself for £25 however i was told buy the nice woman at the dvla i couldnt retain the plate as i was only the nominee and new reg owned the plate even though ive paid for it so i ask the woman at the dvla what newreg are charging me for and she said................. a signiture so i then asked can i change myself to the purchaser so i can retain the plate myself next year and she said oh no you cant do that

so the short of it is these fuckers are conning me for £50 every year dont use newreg.com buy direct from the dvla

I think your campain is working!

I've had a plate for sale on there for nearly a year without a single offer.

OK, its nothing all that special - just an H14 ***

but from their claims, you would expect them to shift it in a week.

Seems like admin fee to me.. If you dont like it, put the plate on a car! then you can put it on rentention when it comes to it.
