power is 115, guess torque would be about 130 - and the RST would win.

I didnt if you read I called a standard RST slow a 231bhp RST I would call more sluggish

if the RST is well setup and fully boosting at a whole 7 psi my money is on the RST till the floopy actuator gives up at least

Dave vrooom ptshhhhh get ya self a stage 1 mate its a reliable conversion on an ERST and gives it a little extra gooooo my old one did 150k on its origional box turbo and engine cos it was looked after correctly till my mate put it into a tree and died that is

yea stg1 is a good option to get, basically puts it on what power it wuld be if ford werent poof's lol!! it feels good/strong power, that's my first option after i get my license

Golfs are alot heavier than a S1 RST, so i would reckon you would easily leave it, even the R32 golfs are no match for a proper RST

mk3 GTI 8v??!! pmsl

id beat it in my 16v 2i without much worry. so a rst with standard tune then then youd waste it pretty well.

now if youd said he had a 16v... or even better a mk2 16v... then id say... dont race him till youve got a decent amount of boost!!!
