Default Standard actuator.........

I know you may have heard this one before but if i shorten my threaded bar on the actuator will it give me more boost or not ? The reason i ask is the one thats on my S2 is short at the mo and it produces 10-12psi, i just want to know coz if its at its max i need a -31 !!!

Id get a -31 anyway if it's the standard actuator on there as it will probably be old and worn

Its a new actuator on it, as the last owner put it on due to the old one being knackered, if its a standard one and its at full boost then ill get a -31. What should standard actuators run up to ?
