Guys
are the compression ratios the same on the small turbo escort as opposed to the big turbo escort cossie ?
i.e can I fit a small turbo escort cosworth engine into my car which is running on P8 mapped by msd, and running a T4 ?
with out the need for a remap etc ???
cheers for any help once again, Glen

yeh cheers AJ, I think what im gonna have to do is leave it, and go for one I know has come off a Big turbo, such a shame as a lad mailed me offering me his engine and it sounds a good one, dammit
prob best m8 as IIRC the small turbo head has some modifications aswell, you could always use parts off both as small turbo has a better inlet plenum and also oil spray jets onto the piston skirts which the large turbo lacks
car looks mint m8, was lookin at it myself but couldn't justify two cossies as toys at the moment

it wont be in the workshop to much if you do things properly , if you want advice then phone MSD who mapped it and ask them about the small turbo engine , no offence to AJ but if you listen to everyone on the net then you will be here in 12 months time asking the same questions , only trying to save you time and money mate as i know the learning curve with cossies can be very expensive
