Whats the biggest valves for an efi rs turbo head and where are they available

45 mm.....blimey Just wonderin how much difference havin big valves actually makes???? I'm havin a head ported at the mo and was thinkin of havin big valves, lookin for around 250bhp, is it worth havin em put in????

 

It's not just a case of wacking the biggest valves in that you can fit, it needs to be spec'd properly for the right results.

I don't think I would fit bigger valves for up to 250bhp though.

 

Hence why i was askin what difference big valves would make!! So u reckon i'd be better off to stick with standard size??? I was lookin at gettin some stainless ones, 1mm oversized i think, would there be a negative effect if i was to get em fitted??? The head's bein pretty heavily ported, wanna try n make the engine rev, well as well as a cvh can lol!

 

you have to be carefull how big you go as the bore limits the valve size etc
