Default 15" alloys and lowering

Will a mk3 fez sit nicely on 15's with a 40mm drop? with no rubbing etc

and still drive ok?

whose done this and how did it go

It's the best combination to for. Stick to a rim no wider 7J and try and use an ET35 offset. A set of quality 195/45/15 tyres and you will be laughing.

Oranoco's spot on, but watch 7J's as they rub very slightly - ie still an MOT fail!

well i have 195/50/15 GTI rims ET40 I think....i believe they are 7J, not too sure

they rub slightly on full lock...will that be an MOT fail?!

Yes it will be an MOT fail as it can affect the movement of the wheel and be deemed unsafe.

My old Fez was lowered 60mm on 16's. I think they were 6j though

Et40 and 7J wont even bold on correctly - the inner lip of the alloy with rub on your suspension strut for sure.

not entirely sure on the tyre sizings, i'll have to look. The only rubbing that's occuring is when on full lock
