Convert 1.4 CVH CFI to ...
Hi, guys!
I have an idea to convert my 1.4 CVH CFI to 1.4 EFI.
1. Getting all I need (head, fuel system, electrics) from CVH 1.6 EFI
2. Getting all this stuff from zetec 1.6
Questins: will heads from 1 & 2 fit to CVH 1.4 block?
what troubles will I have with gas belt system (I think, you know what do I mean
) in case 1 & 2?
And what can I get after this ingection type changing?
---------------------------
Forget about changing block or whole engine - it's VERY hard to do it and not to have troubles with our road police
(Lots of paper working - almost unreal!)

to do this youll need an 1.4 efi loom, ecu and possibly edis (cant remember if there internal or external edis [electronic distributerles ignition system)
youl also need the inlet manifold, fuel injectors, pump, fuel lines, possibly the swirl pot, also the air filter (unless you have a cone filter) youll also need the fuel pressure regulater and asociated vacum hosing,
to be honest would be far simpler to go to carbs, and even with the efi instaled you would only get around 70 bhp, not worth it
would be far simpler to stick a set of webber 40's on there and a kent cam
or an engine swap to a xr2 engine with carb

I would like to change CFI to carb, because carb has a little higher fuel consumption
But, of course, it's a simplest way.
My car is a vagon modification, so it's not for racing
I'd like to have an economy car with not bad acceleraion.
---------------------
Does anybody have an expirience to replace someting (carb, CFI, K-jectornic) to 8-valve EFI on the engine 1400 or 1600?
What is a result difference?
My collegue tested golfs III with mono (CFI) and EFI, by his words, CFIs are more dummy and have slower acceleration. Is the situation same for CVH engines?
