Mot time tomorrow , and only one thing that i had left to do was , connect my wires to my little pump thingy on my front washer jets

easy right , had the tank out to powdercoaters and hadnt re-connected it since , anyway did so and guess what , nothing (has water in it)

Got my multimeter out and im getting 12v on the wires when i press the button inside , now on the little black pump im getting a short on the 2 pins that these wires connect to surely cant be right eh ?

Now also the little plastic ring that screwed into the middle of tank had 2 wires coming out it , but the wires have broken off ? and not had a chance to get a new one yet , whats this for ? could it be related to my problem ?
