Default Mk4 gear linkage into mk3?

Hi all

Am wondering how easy/hard it is to adapt the mk4 gear linkage for my RSi

My gearbox was rebuilt with the internal gate so ive decided to ditch my shonky old mk3 linkage, as i can get better mk4 ones

Im assuming its just the turret mounting points that are different?

Thanks for looking and help getting my RSi on the road for Christmas

Im pretty sure it will bolt straight on!

If not its got to be minor modifications. Don't forget to mod the front while its off, WELL worthwhile

TBH i dont even know what the mk4 linkage looks like but i do know it dosent have the gate in the bottom of it like the mk3 which wears out will pop up the local ford spares and have a look

Thinking of sticking a B+M quickshift in otherwise

What is this mod that you speak of?

Im certain they are the same mate, apart from the internal gate as you say.

Its not the gate that wears out though, its the linkage at the front, do the mod and it will feel like new again

Heres the page, its right at the bottom
