in our test centres they start the car & check for the lights to stay on for the system check & then go out after a few seconds

Right i really have fluked this one lads

Went out to my car earlier , to try and solve this abs light problem , stripped surroun out and took out clocks as far as i could and turned ignition on to see what bulb were lighting up

Now abs lights came on for abut 5 secs then went off then when i started engine the came on briefly then back off

Think ive sorted it but no idea how i did , never done anything , gave it a few tests there with everything back together and its fine now , they come on when turn ignition on then go back off soon after and the same if i start it , must be my lucky night

was going in there to rip out bulb too

its usually caused by dirt on the sensor or a damp connection so if u got the wheels off give em a clean

Pulling the bulb out would have still resulted in a fail during a properly conducted MOT test anyhows as the ABS lamp has to follow the correct sequence as detailed in the testers blue vosa worksheet for that particular vehicle
